An open letter: dear, dyslexic, 10 year old me

“Because you struggle daily with things that others seem to find easy, you will become more humble and compassionate when you see others struggle. Because you always feel just a little bit out of your depth and nervous, you will become more comfortable with bigger challenges – in fact you’ll probally become so comfortable with this that it will feel strange when you aren’t pushing yourself. Because you spell things in creative ways, you will learn to laugh at your mistakes and not take yourself to seriously. Most of all – be kind to yourself, time your time, and be patient. Never stop writing. Never stop reading.”
