I finally learned to read aged 70

“A once illiterate pensioner has discovered her love of books after finally learning to read. Dyslexic and partially deaf Kathleen Sheehy, 70, said teachers shunted her to the back of the class and failed to teach her to read and write during her school days. Six decades later and having spent a lifetime unable to enjoy a good book, the mum-of-six finally plucked up the courage to learn in May.”
