“The results, on the whole, sting, and it’s hard to know who is to blame. Is it that the CCSS are unreasonably high? Were teachers simply not prepared well enough before the tests were implemented? Is the CCSS the Holy Grail of psychometrics revealing the true state of education in the United States? Or is it that teachers need to stop whining and get their act together?”
